Group with one figure ‘flying’

A group of 13 figures painted in very dark red. The legs of some figures are depicted in stylised postures – some have their legs crossed, one has ‘knock-knees’. The figure furthest to the right has its arms held backwards and its back is arched. This might signify a shaman ‘taking off’ to the unseen realm of the spirits. Free State Province, South Africa
